Lula Perl is a coffee shop and bakery in Ruston, Louisiana that specializes in bringing the culture rich atmosphere of New Orleans to a new place. Originally from the south, the owners wanted to bring the feeling of a good home cooked meal while not making the identity feel boring or old fashioned. We settled on a frying pan being the key focal point as it best brings back the memories of a good home cooked meal.

The colors were chosen to not make the place feel boring. “Make it look badass” according to the customer. With those thoughtful words, I landed on blue with a dark grunge tone. I couldn't be happier with how this turned out and neither could the customer. This project will always have a special place in my heart because I enjoyed getting to meet with a work with a local family in creating their dream, a reality.
